Miss Emma

Reception, Teacher

  • Edith Cowan University, Western Australia

  • Barchelor of Education, Kindergarten through Primary

I completed a Bachelor of Education and graduated in 2011. I chose to study English as a second language as my elective unit in my final year at university. This required me to complete a professional practicum in a school that specialised in assisting young children from foreign countries learn English and join the mainstream school system. I find it very rewarding helping children to learn a new language and enjoy hearing them using new words everyday!

After graduating from university I took a year off to travel, visiting countries across Asia and Europe. During this time I also volunteered and taught English to monks in Loas as well as assisting a friend who taught English classes in Vietnam.

I have over 9 years experience working with children.

I have taught children of all ages in both Australia and England and have a sound understanding of the curriculums of both of these countries. I have also worked as a nanny with a family in France teaching English to thei four children aged between 3 and 11.

When I am not teaching I enjoy traveling, running and hiking. Since moving to Moscow I have spent many weekends exploring the city and going hiking in the nearby regions.
