I am from Manchester in the North of England and have been teaching Primary School children for almost 20 years. I have a passion for education and love inspiring children in the classroom.

I taught in a large Primary School in Manchester, UK, for 10 years before moving to Northampton. In Northamptonshire, I was a specialist teacher using material from the historic archives to deliver creative lessons to 64 different schools across Northamptonshire. Over the years, I have taught all ages from Nursery to Year 10 but have mostly taught Primary school children and find this rewarding, especially seeing each child grown in confidence and ability.

Most recently, I lived in Sabah, Malaysia. I was part of the British Council’s English Language Teacher Development Project working with Malaysian Primary teachers to improve English Language teaching in 600 schools dispersed across Malaysian Borneo.

I very much enjoy teaching that uses a range of subjects to make learning meaningful and responds to the needs of the children. In my free time, I enjoy visiting museums and galleries and learning more about the culture of the area where I am living. I am looking forward to learning to speak Russian and the opportunities of inspiring the newest generation of young minds.
