Ms. Susan Nursery Teacher Bachelor of Education, Primary Teacher.
My experience with young children spans more than 20 years. My love of young children led me to a career as a Nursery Nurse before training to be a Primary School Teacher. I taught Reception children in schools in Hampshire and Somerset before moving to Moscow in 2007. I then worked with 2 families in Moscow teaching English to a 3-year-old and later a 7-year-old.
I am very excited to be taking on a new role as Nursery Teacher at the English Nursery School in Moscow. My recent experience of the Foundation Stage Curriculum will, I hope, enhance the lives of many children. I have a particular interest and passion for teaching spoken and written English. Moscow is an interesting city which during the last 18 months I have grown to love.
I am married and when not in Moscow live in a small village in Somerset. My husband visits as often as he can and we enjoy holidays together at home and in our house in Gozo, a tiny island near Malta. I enjoy reading, singing and spending time with friends and family.

Ms. Kate Nursery Assistant Teacher Bachelor of Science in Education and Psychology.
I have recently graduated from Keele University in England with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology.
This is my second year in ENS, I love working with children, I am teaching math in the Nursery class. For the past two summers I have worked in an English summer school in England where I had the opportunity to teach, look after the children’s welfare and work as a lifeguard. I have also worked as a teacher’s assistant in an after school club in Cambridge, as well as an Au pair in Finland. I enjoy working with children of all ages, but I especially enjoy working with young children.
I love Moscow and I think it is wonderful place to live. There are so many interesting places to see and visit, I believe that it will take me a very long time to see even a small part of the culture and historical heritage Russia has to offer. I enjoy horse riding, swimming and reading, as well as ice-skating and going to the theatre. Over the years I have had the opportunity to travel around Europe and explore some of the different countries. I believe that I have the skills necessary to work successfully and effectively in the ENS Nursery class. |

Ms. Maria Reception Assistant Teacher Bachelor of Modern Languages.
I am very pleased and proud to be working at ENS. I was a bilingual child myself and now I am able to contribute to the linguistic development of young children in Moscow.
I have been interested in working with young children for as long as I can remember. My first experience with children was at my School Nursery in England, when I was a prefect. I also worked as a babysitter and childminder with children of all ages. When I lived in England I worked as a Party Hostess for 4 years, where I organised and conducted Birthday Parties for children aged 2 - 12.
Since I graduated from University, I have worked for various companies in England and Russia for many years, However, due to my background, skills and love of children, I decided to opt for a career in child education.
I love working with little ones, I enjoy playing and interacting with children. I am looking forward to supporting the children as they learn a new language. |

Ms. Carol Reception Assistant Teacher TESOL qualification.
I was born in South Carolina, U.S.A. in the year 1983. As the eldest of five children (ranging from four to ten years younger than I), my experience with children began while I was still in grade school. I was about fifteen years old when my youngest sister was beginning school, and I worked with her on phonics, handwriting and basic math. From then on, i was considered the "family tutor".
Upon my completion of high school, I spent time in the state of Illinois, tutoring children from a couple of families. The children ranged in age from six to thirteen. I worked mainly with six years old, the two seven years old, and the nine year old; most of all, we worked on handwriting and arithmetic. Also, for several summers I worked with an organization that travelled all over the U.S. holding week long evening "camps" for children. I served first as a team assistant, then as a team leader (in groups of six to twelve children), and met with children from many different backgrounds and with many different abilities. In this capacity, I had the privilege of working with a few children who had various special emotional or physical needs, including a little girl with Down's Syndrome and blind girl.
As long as I can remember, I have been interested in "foreign" languages, and for some time, have been convinced that it's benefit to grow up speaking more than one language. In grade school, I studied Spanish a bit, but it was only when I spent six months studying Russian at the Russian Language Centre on MGU campus that I began to really learn a second language. I love Russian language and learning about Russian culture and am trying to continue my studies as time permits.
Lately, I got my ñertification as a teacher of English as a Foreign (or Second) Language with English for Life and the University of Charleston. TeachingESOL encompasses ESL (English as a Second Language), EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
I am excited my position as a Support Teacher, because I love to work with just one or two children who need someextra time, attention, support, instruction, practice; and I am looking forward to contributing to the opportunity for children to grow up bi or tri-lingual. |
