I was born in North Wales and apart from temporarily working with children abroad, I have lived there my whole life. I have previously worked in Chicago and Boston, USA where I worked on a children’s summer camp teaching horse riding. I have also worked in France and Turkey, organising and running children’s activity clubs. I loved these jobs and it was a result of these experiences that I enrolled on a teaching degree. Since qualifying as a primary teacher in 2012, I have taught throughout the primary age range, from Nursery (children aged 3) to Year 6 (children aged 11). Most recently I worked in a local Welsh school with Year 2 children and I adored their love for learning and attitude to education. I have worked in both English and Welsh speaking schools and I am looking forward to learning a bit of Russian while working at ENS Onegino. I am enjoying getting to know my class and teaching them through the British curriculum. In my spare time I do a lot of pool and open water swimming, I have recently swam a mile in the chilly British waters, raising money for a cancer support charity. This is an achievement that I enjoyed and I am proud of. I also enjoy watching Rugby, listening to music and walking. I will be missing my dogs and the British countryside while I am here but, I am also looking forward to exploring more of Moscow and Russia.
