B.Ed (Hon) CANTAB

From a very young age I knew I wanted to become a teacher. After leaving school I trained to teach at Homerton College, Cambridge, gaining a Bachelor of Education degree. I have taught in three different London primary schools over a period of 27 years. I have experience of teaching across the whole primary age range from three year olds in nursery through to eleven year olds in Year 6. All of my teaching experience has been teaching children with English as an Additional Language (EAL). It had always been a dream of mine to teach in other areas of the world therefore 4 years ago I moved from the UK to teach in an International school in Bangkok, Thailand.

I loved the experience of finding out about another culture and the opportunities it gave myself and my husband to travel to, and explore, different countries in Asia. It also gave me the opportunity to share my expertise in teaching English in another part of the world.

I recently moved to Russia to begin teaching at ENS. Once again it is proving very interesting to be immersed into another culture and I am enjoying teaching my Year 1 class to acquire English as well as a nurture a love for learning.
