I grew up in a small town in the South of England. I had a fabulous childhood growing up playing outside with friends. We had many pets and I enjoyed a loving family. Throughout my life I have found being with children a joy and a privilege. My love for children led me to train as a Nursery Nurse where I learnt about child development. I spent several years working with children with disorders in communication and children with special needs. Encouraged by my colleagues I went to University and studied for four years to become a Primary School Teacher. I worked in several different roles for many years in schools in England.
In 2007 I came to Moscow as a Governess. I taught English to several young children. During this time I learnt much about family life in Moscow and how to teach English through immersion. I joined ENS in 2009 as the Nursery Teacher for Obruchevo. In 2012 I became Educational Advisor; supported by my colleagues we continued to establish our ENS principles combining sound child development and the British Curriculum with our knowledge of immersion and acquisition of language.
One of my passions is teaching young children to speak English so this year I am returning to the classroom to teach Nursery children at one of new schools. It is such a joy to see children grow and learn at ENS. I have watched the progress of many children during my time here. I love my life here in Moscow. I enjoy walking, cooking and reading.
I am also a member of the Anglican Church here in Moscow. In 2009 my husband joined me here. We love the bustle of the city and the beauty of the countryside both here in Moscow and all over the world. We have a house in Gozo, a small island in the Mediterranean next to Malta, where we relax in the summer. We also enjoy visiting our friends and family in England.
